About Muhibbi Books
Muhibbi Books exists to serve seekers of knowledge with clarity, trust, and sincerity.
Founded by two Singaporean Chinese converts, Muhibbi Books was born from a very real need: access to reliable English-language Islamic books for a community where many seekers — especially converts — think, learn, and reflect primarily in English.
While the Nusantara region is rich in Islamic heritage, much of its literature is traditionally available in Malay. For converts and English-speaking Muslims, navigating authentic sources can often feel overwhelming. Muhibbi Books was established to bridge this gap — offering a trusted platform where readers can confidently turn to sound, accessible, and beneficial works in English.
Why "Muhibbi"
The name Muhibbi means “The Lover.”
It reflects the heart of what we hope to cultivate:
- Love for Allah SWT & His Beloved Prophet ﷺ
- Love for knowledge
- Love for the Qur’an and the Prophetic tradition
- Love for sincerity, adab, and the inward journey
- Love for our teacher's teacher - Hazrat Muhibbishah Noori (R.A)
